I secured a job in Chelsea – one of the most affluent areas in London – as a receptionist where I got the opportunity to visit India, Nepal and more of Europe.

The connections made on these trips took my career in a different direction.

I swapped my receptionist job for a Personal Assistant and Property Consultant at an International Property Consultancy where I got to split my time between London and Dubai. I stayed in this role for eight years before I landed my first role in the world of corporate marketing at a law firm in London. I was 37 and honestly, felt overqualified. Within a year I was promoted to an executive role. But unfortunately I wasn’t finding fulfilment in the corporate world.

To my surprise, my career then took another turn. I was invited to spend two weeks assisting one of my closest friends who at that time was working as a private chef for celebrities and high net worth clients in the Bahamas.

Needless to say, after that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I resigned from my 9-5 trusting that a new adventure would approach me. And that it did.

I got to travel a bit in the US (NYC, Hamptons, Tampa) and soon after that I picked up another marketing position at a publishing company. Things were going great! But then lockdown happened…

While things looked pretty bleak, I made the best of it and set up my own company – Adora Design. I, again, found that the connections I had made on my travels in the US, became my first-ever clients, and some are still clients to this day.

Flashing forward to today, I’ve spent six years as a brand designer focusing on supporting and serving people with a genuine passion for helping make life better for others. From mindset coaches, therapists, wellness centres & spas, home organisers, chefs and musical theatre schools for children, to non-profits and so much more.
